Peculiarities of fetoplacenta in pregnant with viral hepatitis
A prospective study of 50 pregnant women with acute viral hepatitis (AVH), 9 of them (18%) patients have had hepatitis A, 13 (26%) - Hepatitis B, 5 (10%) - hepatitis C, the majority of the patients - 23 (46%) had hepatitis E.
In most cases viral hepatitis during pregnancy lead to a reduction of the endocrine function of the placenta, impaired blood flow in the system «mother-placenta-fetus» with the subsequent development of placental insufficiency, increased frequency of low birth weight children and posthypoxic neonatal CNS disorders.
