Glycated hemoglobin as a marker hyperglycemic conditions in the mothers in iii trimester of pregnancy and risk of perinatal pathology in newborn
We determined the level of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in cord blood of 36 newborns of mothers who had risk factors for the development of diabetes, which for various reasons during pregnancy test for glucose tolerance was not carried not. In newborns of mothers who had glycated hemoglobin levels above 6%, macrosomia met 4 times more likely asphyxia - 5 times, CNS disorders - 2 times, hypoglycemia - 4 times more likely than newborns within the normal level of HbA1c. A direct veracious correlation between the level of glycated hemoglobin of um-bilical cord blood and newborn anthropometric indicators (weight, height, ratio of head circum-ference to chest circumference) was established. Also indirect reverse correlation between gly-cated hemoglobin level of blood glucose newborn in the first 2 hours after birth (r = - 0,4; p <0,001) was noted, which is an additional indicator of transient moderate hyperglycemic state during pregnancy
