Sanatorium-resort rehabilitation of elderly patients with coronary heart disease

Currently, one of the priorities is the protection of public health and an important place is given to sanatorium rehabilitation.

The results of treatment of patients with coronary artery disease in the sanatorium «Zayron» Vahdat district are presented.

In the analysis of clinical symptoms of patients with coronary artery disease at firsts daysthe majority of patients admitted to a sanatorium, complained of palpitations, heart pains, shortness of breath on exertion. Often patients with IHDcomplained of fatigue, headaches, dizziness at times. The heavy weight on chest was observed in 53 (44,1%) patients, persistent and recurrent headaches - in 50 (41,6%), palpitations, and disruption of the heart - in 39 (32,5%), shortness of breath on exertion - in 48 (40%).

An objective study of the heart rate averaged 86 beats per minute (at summer). Systolic blood pressure ranged from 140 to 175 mm Hg, and diastolic - from 90 to 110 mm Hg.. Increased numbers of blood pressure (175/110, respectively, 140/90 mm Hg) have been observed mainly in patients older than 55 years, including 28 patients which hadconfirmed hypertension.
