Surgical treatment of post-burn face scars with perioral area contracture

The experience of surgical treatment of post-burn face scar with perioral area contracture in 52 patients is presented in the article. Depending on 3 clinical variants of these contractures the
optimal ways of surgical interventions are proposed. Arsenal of surgery methods includes a modified Z-plasty, transferring of local and regional flaps, transplantation of full-thickness skin graft. Careful choice of the method and extent of surgery in all 46 observed in a remote period (from 6 months to 8 years) cases permit to obtain a good and satisfactory results.
