Results forecasting and choice of therapeutic tactics in generalized peritonitis

The results of application of original scale of score severity the patient - the index of peritonitis (SP) - in 188 patients with generalized peritonitis.Peritonitis index ≤ 12 points was in 94 patients with generalized peritonitis, from 13 to 22 points –in 74, and ≥ 23 points - in 20 patients. As a result of the application of varying tactics,extent of surgery and intensive care, only 13 (6,9%) patients underwent to relaparotomy. The lethal outcome was in 38 (20,2%) cases, in majority of which Peritonitis index was more than 23 points. The average length of hospital stay was 9.2 bed-days.
