The study involved 68 pregnant women during cesarean section. All patients were divided into two groups. In the groupI were 44 pregnant women during cesarean section underwent to spinal anesthesia, in the group II - 24 pregnant women - to endotracheal anesthesia. Normal physiological delivery had 10 pregnant women. In all patients the tests ofsympathoadrenal system hormones were done.

Comparison of anesthesia effect on cesarean section in both groups showed increasingof epinephrine, norepinephrine and cortisol concentrations. However at spinal anesthesia these changes were less. Furthermore, at spinal anesthesia in spite of the slight increase in hormones concentrations, hemodynamic parameters remained within normal limits. Patients do not feel pain andwere in a state of mild sedation. Therefore, performing of these hormonal tests during spinal anesthesia is a valuable method for cesarean section.
