Surgical treatment of bronchial asthma

In review are reported the findingsconcerning surgical methods of treatment of bronchial asthma (BA). As the data in the literature are testified, the long experience of asthma’surgical treatment have tried a lot of theories and methods, leaving some of them in the history of surgery due to lifethreatening complications, and the other part - whereas used, but only in those clinics where these ideas were originated. The basis of modern methods of BA surgical treatment are the knowledge of pathogenic disease processes that aim to break pathological impulses on afferent and efferent pathways, causing bronchospasm.
