The article presents the modified dosing and regimens of interferon therapy in sickly children with ARVI. Found that in new modes of drug dosing «Viferon» (rectal suppositories) in children with frequent recurrent infections of respiratory tract, a more rapid relief of major clinical manifestations of ARVI (fever, intoxication, cough, nasal cold, conjunctivitis, throat hyperemia) is observed.

In all age groups there was a significant reduction of complications (2,3±0,47 and 1,3±0,3% vs 8,1±1,55 and 4,1±0,91%, respectively, in the test groups, p<0,05), as well as increased of endogenous interferongamma production in groups of infants and preschool ages, in contrast to patients who were on previous drug dosing regimens (29,88±6,2 and 29,9±7,05 pg / ml vs 12,32±3,8 and 13,36±4,79 pg / ml, respectively, p<0,05).

In addition,»Viferon» usinghelped to reduce the timing of clinical recovery and hospitalization. The average hospital stay in study group was 5,48±0,4, whereas in comparison group – 8,24±1,8 (p<0,05).
