The article analyzes the results of examination and treatment of 72 patients with acute deep veins thrombophlebitis of the lower extremities.

In according to the method of anticoagulant therapy all patients were divided into two groups: the first group (n=30) received a combination of heparin and warfarin, second - monotherapy with heparin.

Found that in combination of two anticoagulants (n=22; 73,3%) in most of patients achieved elongation indicator activated partial thromboplastin time by 20% of normal, whereas in the second group – only in 12 (38,7%).

International indicators of normalized relations in 1 – group were within the therapeutic ranges (2.0-3.0), while the second group – less than 2.0. Hemorrhagic and thromboembolic complications connected with prescription anticoagulants in both groups were not marked. The combination of two anticoagulants was more effective to achieve adequate and safe anticoagulation. The scheme of treatment and tactics of management patients with acute thrombophlebitis was proposed.

Immediate results: good and satisfactory results were 91,6% and unsatisfactory – 8,4%. The early results have been studied up to 6 months and at the same time revealed that 83,0% of the patients showed signs of recanalization of thrombosed veins, only in 17,0% – chronic occlusion.

Keywords: phlebothrombosis, anticoagulation therapy.
