Acute intestinal obstruction in patients with chronic mental illness

The analysis of the treatment 93 patients with acute intestinal obstruction with chronic mental illness (CMI) is presented. The leading role of laparoscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of such patients was shown. Thus, in 12% of the patients intestinal obstruction has a functional nature, and laparoscopy allows to exclude mechanical obstruction. Holding the sample ba-rium Schwarz- in patients with CMI does not solve the differential - diagnostic problem. The cause of acute intestinal obstruction In 49.5% of patients can remove by laparoscopic access. If tumor obstruction, performance of laparoscopic assisting colostomy avoids patients long-term using of colostomic evacuation procedure.
