ECHOGRAPHIC MARKERS OF DIFFUSE NONTOXIC GOITER IN CHILDREN

Authors studied the performance of ultrasonic study of 94 patients with diffuse nontoxic goiter (DNG), aged 6 to 16 years. According to the clinical and metabolic criteria for the patients differentiated into the following groups: I group - 48 patients in the state eutireoid, II - 28 patients with an autoimmune component, III - 18 patients with c subclinical hypothyroidism. Indicators of U.S. authors regarded as sonographic markers that can be used for early diagnosis, selection of adequate therapy and as a monitor for determining the efficacy of treatment in children with this complex disease.
