APPLICATION OF PROSTAGLANDINS IN OBSTETRICS

Review presents literature data dedicated to application of prostaglandins in obstetric practice, particularly in the induction of labor. Discovery of prostaglandins and their biologic role was one of the most significant events in biology and medicine in recent years. Data about the role of prostaglandins in maintenance and preservation of pregnancy in its various terms, transport and nidation of the impregnated ovule has a great significance for obstetric theory and practice.
