The authors studied the state of the morphological and functional parameters of cardiovascular system in 43 children with asthma.

The changes of myocardial bioelectric activity like sinus tachycardia and tachyarrhythmia in 55,5% of patients at intermission of attack, at 65,1% – patients at post attack period and 94,7% – during attack period of the disease were revealed. Flattening of P-wave is detected during all periods of bronchial asthma (11,1%, 30,0% and 16,0% of cases). Flattening of T-wave occurred in 60,0%, 44,0% and 11,1% of patients, respectively to periods of illness. Segment S-T depression in 28,0% of patients with signs and partial blockade of right His bundle branch are revealed– at 33,5%. Echocardiography: violation of systolic ventricular function in children in the period of disease reccurence is characterized by the formation of hyperkinetic syndrome (56,7%) with different variants of valvular dysfunction (23,2%). Changing ventricular diastolic function of the type "slow relaxation" detected in 12% of cases. We observed morphological and functional changes in the cardiovascular system are the result of disturbances in lung ventilation with the development of profound hypoxemia.
