Retrospectively are studied the frequency of pregnancy complications, perinatal outcomes in 250 women with varicose disease (study group) and in 250 women without somatic diseases (control group).

The incidence of pregnancy complications in patients with varicose disease is high: severe preeclampsia (4,0±1,2%), mild preeclampsia (4,8±1,4%), placental abruption (4,4±1,3%), polyhydramnios (12,4±2,1%), oligohydramnios (7,2±1,6%), violation of utero-placental blood flow (21,6±2,6%), prenatal rupture of membranes (25,6±2,7%), fetal growth retardation syndrome (9,6±1,9%).

It was found that varicose disease is a risk factor for the development of placental insufficiency (PI) – RR=1,80; DI – and from 1,19 to 2,71. It is shown that the high frequency of PN in pregnant women with varicose disease (31,6%) leads to a significant decrease in the mean values of anthropometric neonatal indices and estimation by Apgar scores compared with those of the control group.
