CHOICE OF SURGICAL TREATMENT INCONGENITAL CLEFT PALATE

The article presents remote results of surgical treatment 168 patients with congenital cleft palate. The patients were divided into two groups: I group – surgical treatment with reconstruction of the normal anatomy of soft palate muscles, II group – without their reconstruction. Each group was divided in turn into three subgroups: I –cover of small defects by surgical techniques lengtheninigthe soft palate; II – medium-sized defects coveringby pharyngeal flap; III – large defects cover in two stages. To achieve good functional postoperative outcomes it is necessary to reconstruct the normal anatomy of the soft palate muscle as well as the fact that the main cause of facial deformities is incorrect surgery.
