The research suggests that in patients suffering from congenital hip dislocation lipid peroxidation areintensified. The extent of lipid peroxidation activity correlates with the severity of degenerative changes in the affected joint. The study recorded the activation of antioxidant protectivesystem, that lead to limitation of intensity of free-radical reactions and keep them at the appropriate level. This allows us to consider the identified pattern as a physiological mechanism of adaptive remodeling processes under study, aimed at restoring the normal functioning of the body

Keywords: congenital hip dislocation, hip joint, arthroplasty, lipid peroxidation, antioxidant system, malondialdehyde, antioxidant enzymes.
