In a review of literature are presented different methodsof nephrectomy in renal disease, including single-port and multi-port laparoscopic nephrectomy. In published comparative reports devoted to single-port and multi-port laparoscopic nephrectomy, the results of operations are controversial and contradictory.

However, many studies have shown that single-port laparoscopic nephrectomy is an effective, safe and minimally invasive method due to a decrease in the number of ports, leading to a decrease in the risk of port-related complications, reduce the intensity of pain, as well as to higher cosmetic results. The question of the benefits and the role of a single laparoscopic approach in the treatment of patients with kidney disease, requiring nephrectomy is not resolved.

Keywords: single laparoscopic approach, laparoscopic nephrectomy, single-port and multi-port laparoscopic nephrectomy.
