Comparison of currency the early period after operation fontaine in children of different age groups

The study included 50 patients operated on the principle of a complete clearing of the right heart, to study the peculiarities of early period after the Fontan operation in children of different age groups.

For patients Fontan operation in modification ofextracardiac conduitwas performed. To compare the features of postoperative period, all patients were divided into 2 groups according to age: Group 1 (n=25) – patients under 4 years of life, 2 group – patients 4 years and older (n=25) .

The highest place in the structure of postoperative complications occupied heart failure (50,0%), and the phrenic nerve damage (56,3%).

Analysis of early postoperative period showed that total dose of cardiotonic therapy, the so-called «factor of inotropic support,» in patients 2 group was significantly higher than that figure in the younger age group, also have a higher frequency of prolonged (> 72 hours) inotropic support compared with patients of group 1.

Assessment of the duration and dose diuretic therapy, duration and volume of extravasation from serous cavities, inpatients of 2 group revealed a higher incidence of long-term (> 10 days) extravasation from the pleural cavities than in patients of Group 1.
