Risk disorders of cerebral circulatory in patients with cerebral atherosclerosis depending of condition of blood flow regulation system

A comprehensive clinical examination of 53 patients who had previous transient ischemic attack at the age of 46 to 70 years, including 38 (71.7%) women and 15 (28.3%) men was conducted. The average age of the surveyed was 62,4 ± 1,7 years.
Performed analysis of features of hemostatic system, the content of NO metabolites in blood and urine, endothelium-dependent vasodilatation of the brachial artery (according to Doppler ultrasound).
Revealed the presence of complex disorders of systemic regulation of blood flow with the general trend to its decline in patients with atherosclerosis of cerebral arteries and the direct dependence of its severity from stenosis degree. The latest observation is true only for indicators that are directly related to the functional condition of the vascular endothelium.
