Epidemiological features of spread acute myeloid leukemia in Kyrgyzstan

In this research the main indicators of the incidence of acute myeloid leukemia in Kyrgyzstan depending of regional characteristics were studied.

During the study period (1991-2010 years) among the adult population reported about 570 cases of acute myeloid leukemia. The highest incidence occurred in the age of 80-84 years, with the values of 4.37 (city) and 60-64 years (village) with a value of 1.57 per 100 000 population.

In the allocation of reported cases, depending on regional characteristics the most number of cases of acute myeloid leukemia registered in Bishkek and Chui and Osh provinces, reaching 24.9%, 24.6% and 21.2%, respectively. The lowest number of cases reported in Talas and Batken, reaching to 4.2%.

The standardized incidence rate of acute myeloid leukemia in the urban population of Kyrgyzstan was 0.72 per 100 000 population in rural areas - 0.60.
