Stages of development of cardiovascular surgery in the Republic of Tajikistan

The most important stages in development of cardiovascular surgery in the Republic of Tajikistan are reported in article.
Cardiosurgical service for 52 years of activity has achieved considerable success. Along with introduction of coronary artery bypass surgery, surgery for complex congenital heart defects were performed: Ebstein anomaly, tetralogy of Fallot, the full form of AVB, tricuspid atresia, and elimination of Valsalva sinus aneurysm. In addition, the great achievement in cardiosurgery is development of coronarography and coronar arteries stenting, and also obturation in ASD, VSD and QAD.
