Peculiarities of early enteral tube feeding in cancer patients operated on gastrointestinal organs

The findings of 75 operated patients with cancer of gastrointestinal tract In order to evaluate the effectiveness of early enteral nutrition were analyzed.
Application of proposed enteral feeding method contributed to decreasing of weight loss in postoperative time, as well as to reducing the number of cases with hypotrophy of significant and marginal degrees in 2-3 times in comparison to control group. Also is noted the increasing of total protein to 10.7% and albumin to 27.4% in blood of main group patients compared to the control group. This indicates that proposed method of early enteral nutrition improves the nutritional status of operated patients with gastric cancer.
