Obstetric and perinatal outcomes in fetal nondiabetic macrosomia

A retrospective analysis of 771 case labor and delivery records in order to study the course of pregnancy, birth and perinatal outcomes of fetal nondiabetic macrosomia presented in article. In this condition significantly increases the frequency of obstetric and perinatal complications: gestational hypertension (4%), early rupture of membranes (8.6%), abnormalities of labor (7.9%), fetal distress (2.7%), vacuum extraction of the fetus (1.9%), shoulder dystocia (2.7%). Postpartum often complicated by hypotonic hemorrhage (5.4%) and hematometry (1.9%). The most common disorders in the early neonatal period in big fetus is the central nervous system lesion hypoxic and traumatic origin (10.0%) and Erb-Duchenne palsy (1%).
