Pain syndrome is one of the leading in lesions of peripheral nerve. We conducted a study of the effect of LED emission wavelength of 470 nm (blue) on experimental model of compression-ischemic neuropathy. In neurohystologic study after blue photochromotherapy decreased the severity of nerve lesions - reduced the number of nerve fibers undergoing degenerative changes, manifested in argentofilia increasing.
In clinical research the influence of monochromatic visible light blue on neuropathic pain syndrome in 47 patients with compression-ischemic and traumatic neuropathies is evaluated. According to pathopsycologic studies, patients from group treated with light therapy, rapid relief (2-3 days) of neurological symptoms is noted, reducing pain and improving the quality of life in comparison to control group.
Keywords: pain, neuropathy, peripheral nerve lesion , photochromotherapy, blue light.
