The clinical characteristics and features of enzymatic status of peripheral blood leukocytes in 62 children with congenital hemolytic anemias (NGA) were presented. The authors found significant clinical changes in the internal organs (hepatosplenomegaly, hypotension, dyspnea at rest, tachycardia, muted tones of the heart, systolic murmur), and marked reduction in activity of redox enzymes (25 - 50% compared to the control group) pointing to profound metabolic disturbances in the body due to chronic hemic hypoxia and disorders of iron homeostasis.

Keywords: hereditary hemolytic anemia , redox enzymes, hemic hypoxia, hemosiderosis of internal organs.
