Diagnosis and pathogenetic treatment of complicated neuropathic diabetic foot syndrome
The study is based on the analysis the results of diagnosis and treatment of 110 patients with complicated forms of neuropathic diabetic foot syndrome, in order to study the informative content of computer electroneuromyography (ENMG) and effectiveness of pathogenetic treatment. Electroneuromyography (n = 55) revealed in 48 (87.3%) patients reducing the velocity of the pulse, the M-response amplitude of peroneal and tibial nerves, in 41 (74.5%) patients showed an increase in the latent period of the motor nerves of the lower extremities. The results showed that ENMG is reliable method for diagnosing neuropathic forms of diabetic foot syndrome (up to 87.3%) and permits to evaluate the effectiveness of conservative therapy. Through the use of metabolic agents «Tiogamma» and «Milgamma» in complex treatment of patients with complicated forms of neuropathic diabetic foot, length of patient’s hospital stay on average decreased by 11.6 bed-days.
