Surgical correction of congenital defects and developmental anomalies of auricle
Clinical features of congenital malformations and developmental anomalies of the auricle manifestations and the existing methods of their reconstruction and correction presented in review. Despite of the development of a specific surgical approach and proposed a large number of reconstructive and corrective methods a number of issues still require further discussion and decision. Not developed a unified common classification, not defined the optimum age of the patient with otoplasty and auricular reconstruction, the type of surgical access for corrective operations, the choice of a plastic material for the reference frame to create the ear, not studied the effect of time for performance of the correction and reconstruction on the results of operations.
