Prevention and treatment of skin scar in view of immune indices
In order to correct immune disorders 57 patients received immunomodulatory therapy with the drug «Immunofan» a month before the surgical correction. In patients with scarring of the skin violations of the immune system, regardless of the scar’s kind and their causes is revealed.
The greatest changes in parameters of cellular and humoral immunity observed in patients with keloid scars. Immune modulating therapy before surgical correction of scars leads to improving the efficiency of surgical treatment and contributes to excellent results (aesthetically acceptable scar) in 41 (72%) of cases compared with 5 (8.7%) unsatisfactory cases (forming of keloid scars).
