Oxidative status in patients with congenital heart disease «blue» and «pale» type before and after correction by surgery
The study of oxidative status in 40 patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) - in 19 with «blue» type, 21 - with the «pale» type, at the age of 5 to 15 years was presented in article.
Marked intensification of lipid peroxidation, and significant changes were observed in patients with «blue» type of CHD. In these patients found a more expressed depletion of the antioxidant protective system: α-tocopherol, ascorbic acid and superoxide dismutase. Correction of defect by surgery leads to recovery of these parameters on 7 day 7 after surgery.
Keywords: congenital heart disease, lipid peroxidation, antioxidant protective system.
