Condition of left ventricular myocardium in patients with chronic renal failure

Y.A. Shokirov, Z.A. Suleymanova

This article presents the results of the study of 35 patients (aged 25 to 63 years) with chronic renal failure. The aim was to study the condition of electrical potentials (interval QT, QTcD) of left ventricular myocardium. Diagnosis of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) based on ECG and echocardiography. It was established that the rate QTcD and QTpcD in chronic renal failure (CRF) due to the associated left ventricular hypertrophy and does not depend directly on the indices of uremia, while increasing performance QTc11, QTc max and QTpc max, depends on the presence of CRF. Statistically significant correlation was observed from the figures QTc interval and TSLZH in respect QTcD interval in patients with chronic renal failure. The presence of hypertension, a major factor in the development of LVH does not influence the rates of ventricular repolarization.

Keywords: left ventricular hypertrophy, chronic renal failure, hypertension, echocardiography.
