CLINICAL LABORATORY AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTIC OF ROTAVIRUS-INFECTION IN CHILDREN

In the last years the role of rotavirus-infection (RVI) in children-pathology increased essentially. On the data of medical publications, the share of rotavirus-gaster-enteritis in the structure of acute intestinal infections (AII) in children is 7-35%, and in age to 5 years – more 50%. Clinical laboratory data showed that in 25% patients with AII etiological factor is RVI. Clinically RVI progresses as acute gaster-enteritis with specific symptoms and some catarrh alterations in oropharinx. RVI has acute begin and moderate symptoms of intoxication and dehydratation.
