Fertility and lymphogranulomatosis

In the review is presented the results of Russian and foreign scientists studies devoted to investigation the effects of chemo-radiotherapy on the fertility of cancer patients, particularly patients with lymphogranulomatosis of puberty and reproductive age. Enlightened the possible methods of preserving fertility, depending on age, social status of women, and also the ways of monitoring the damages of gonadas within course of treatment for patients with lymphogranulomatosis. Marked the advantage of using analogues of gonadotropin-releasing hormone for gonad protection during therapy, and the importance of introduction of gonadal tissue cryopreservation before treatment and the application of assisted reproductive technology (ART) for the realization of fertility function in patients with lymphogranulomatosis after treatment.
