Epidemiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis of lambliosis in children

The analysis of morbidity with lambliosis in 99 children from 2006 to 2009 in Karaganda region according to findings of epidemiological department of regional SES and Regional Hospital of Infectious Diseases presented in article. Found that the highest incidence was in the major cities of Karaganda region (Karaganda, Temirtau, Balkhash, Djezkazgan), and in almost all districts was. noted a down to zero values. The most common clinical variants of lambliosis is bowel form (75.8%), manifestations of which were nausea, vomiting, anorexia, flatulence, and cramping pain in the epigastric region. Frequent stools, offensive, fat-like, foamy is observed. Hepatic form was less frequent (24.2%) and clinical picture was dominated by symptoms of cholecystitis, hepato-cholecystitis and cholangitis, which requires differential diagnosis with gallstone disease.

Disorders of biliary system characterized by hypo-or hyperkinetic gallbladder dysfunction. In all forms of lambliosis in approximately one third of children have neurotic reactions and metabolic disorders that need correction in treatment of this disease.
