Mid-term results of primary hip replacement using cementless wedge shaped femoral stem «Ilse»
In this article was carried out a mid-term (up to 6 years) evaluation of the results of primary total hip arthroplasty with use became popular in the last decade, a wedge-shaped femoral stem of rectangular cross section, for example, an implant, «Ilsa» in 250 patients (272 operations) from 18 to 91 years. In terms of 1 year, 2 and 3 years after surgery indicated stable improvement in function of the hip joint (from 37.2 points on average by Harris in the preoperative period before, respectively, 89.2 points, 92.1 points and 88.9). Except for three cases of around prosthetic fractures, no one patients had no aseptic instability of femoral or acetabular components.
Survival of the femoral component on Kaplan-Meier 4 years after surgery was 98.2%, total - 97.2%.The data obtained confirms the prospects of using this universal design in traumatology and orthopedics, especially in the active implementation of joint replacement in general medical practice.
