Laboratory immunological assessment of the effectiveness of antiretroviral therapy in HIV-infected patients coinfected with hepatitis c virus in the penitentiary system in Kyrgyz Republic
In this study, the authors conducted a comparative assessment of the effectiveness of antiretroviral therapy, according to the laboratory - immunological parameters in 27 individuals with HIV infection and coinfection with HIV-positive and viral hepatitis C in penitentiary system.
Liver function tests while on ART in individuals coinfected with HIV-positive hepatitis C virus are significantly higher than patients with only HIV - infection. CD4 cell increase, ACHL, IRI in persons coinfected with HIV-positive hepatitis C virus is much slower compared to those who have only HIV infection. The growth of these indices and a decrease in CD8 cells from the connection to the therapy before study of immunological parameters following shows the effectiveness of the ART.
