In this study, the correlation between the incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD), hypertension (AH) and the incidence of risk factors among 16,500 men and women in Tajikistan was investigated.

A high correlation between the incidence of coronary heart disease, hypertension and prevalence of overweight, physical inactivity, hypercholesterolemia, high LDL cholesterol and low HDL-C was revealed with a combination of 1st, 3 and 4 risk factors, as well as in patients with hypertension with high level GTH and the combination of two risk factors. Moderate association was found between the incidence of coronary heart disease and prevalence of chronic emotional stress, hypertriglyceridemia and the number of persons with a combination of two risk factors, as well as between the incidence of hypertension and the incidence of factors use «smokeless» tobacco and alcohol. Weak link is between the prevalence of «smokeless» tobacco using, regular alcohol consumption and the incidence of coronary heart disease.

With age, both men and women showed positive correlation with the highest age-identifying coronary artery disease and hypertension in older age groups in men and women with multiple risk factors. In this case, the incidence of coronary heart disease in surveyed women in the older age groups (45-54 and 54-59 years) was in the 1.1 and 1.3 times, respectively, and hypertension in 1.1 and 1.7 times, respectively, higher than men of similar ages.
